Allan Jensen had it all: the love of his life, a best friend, and an exciting career in U.S. Army Special Operations. During an intense firefight overseas, an enemy bullet paralyzed him from the waist down. Facing a life as a cripple, he is approached by Phaedra Quinto, Director of a classified genetics program run by NeoJaeger, a private company contracted by DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency), who makes him an irresistible offer: to not only walk again, but also become faster and stronger than any ordinary human being. Allan eagerly accepts, a decision with consequences he could not foresee. He was given a new body, one that was resurrected from the ancient past and combined with genes of the modern era, but it came at the cost of his physical humanity. Worse, Phaedra plans to keep him against his will to further a twisted, nightmarish agenda that will gruelingly test his sense of purpose and will to survive. Though he can no longer speak or regain his old body, Allan must use his intellect combined with his new beastly form to show his oppressive captor and those who serve under her that there are some things that are not meant to be controlled.
